Introduction

www.readybed.com (the Site) is operated by Worlds Apart Limited trading as ReadyBed (we and us). The terms contained in this document (Trading Terms) apply to all transactions for the purchase of products from the Site. Please read these Trading Terms carefully before ordering from the Site. By ordering any products from the Site you are indicating your acceptance to be bound by these Trading Terms. They form a legal agreement between you and us and can only be amended with our consent in writing. In this way, we can avoid any problems surrounding what ReadyBed and you are expected to do. You can print a copy of these Trading Terms by selecting the print option from the 'File' menu of your browser.

Cancellation and Returns

You may cancel your order (or any part of it) at any stage before the products are delivered to you, and up to 14 days afterwards. Please refer to our returns instructions below:

  • For a full refund the product must be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused, within its original packaging and in a saleable condition.
  • Please complete the Return form included within your delivery.
  • Remember to retain both your proof of purchase and proof of postage.
  • We will process your refund within 30 days of the safe return of the item.

In the unlikely event that the ReadyBed you receive is not what you ordered, or it is damaged or defective, we will replace, repair or refund it to the amount you paid for the goods in question. You must notify us of the problem in writing at the address stated on the invoice within 14 days of delivery of the goods. You may be asked to return the goods to us. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Guarantee

All ReadyBed products are guaranteed. The mattress and pump are guaranteed for three years. The rest of your ReadyBed is guaranteed for one year. To make a claim, you must provide a proof of purchase.

ReadyBed warrants to the original purchaser that it will be fully guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, provided that the product is used for normal purposes and has been operated according to the provided instructions.

Battery pumps and mattresses are also guaranteed for three years from the date of purchase, provided they have been operated according to the instructions.

Our obligation under this guarantee shall be limited to the repair or exchange of any part or parts which may prove defective under the Trading Terms and during the periods described above.

Our obligation under this guarantee shall not apply if our inspection shows:

  • Any product or part has been damaged by alteration.
  • Any product or part has been subject to accident, misuse, abuse or has been operated contrary to ReadyBed instructions for the product.
  • The purchaser must contact ReadyBed and obtain its authorisation before returning a defective product. ReadyBed may be able to send you a replacement part without the product being returned and reserve the right to do so. The product should be carefully packaged and delivered or delivery charges prepaid. The customer shall be responsible for all damages incurred in shipping.

Liability and Indemnity

  • In using our website, you agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the Trading Terms by you or any other, or the use by any other person accessing the Website using your shopping account and/or your personal information.
  • We will not be liable to you where performance of any of our obligations is prevented or restricted by any circumstance or cause beyond our reasonable control.
  • You are responsible for the use you make of the products you order. To the extent not prohibited by law, we accept no liability for any loss which is not reasonably foreseeable or for any business loss (which includes loss of profits, contracts, goodwill, opportunity and other similar losses).
  • Except for the express limited warranty set out above, we disclaim to the fullest extent permissible under applicable law any and all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to the Products. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, nor does it affect your Contract Cancellation Rights.
  • Nothing in the Trading Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation and any other liability that cannot, under English law, be excluded.

General

  • Worlds Apart Limited is a company registered in England. Our company number is 01606138 and our registered office address is Unit 3 Hurling Way, St Columb Major Business Park, St Columb Major, Cornwall TR9 6SX. Our VAT registration number is 706 9452 22.
  • Any formal legal notices should be sent to us at the address at the end of these Trading Terms by email and confirmed by post.
  • Failure by us to enforce a right does not result in waiver of such right. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Trading Terms.
  • If any part of these Trading Terms is found to be unenforceable as a matter of law, all other parts of these Trading Terms shall be unaffected and shall remain in force.
  • You and we agree that English law applies to these Trading Terms and that any dispute between us arising out of or in connection with these Trading Terms will only be dealt with by the English courts, unless you are resident in another part of the United Kingdom, in which case the applicable law of that part of the United Kingdom will apply and any dispute will be brought before the courts there. We are required by law to inform you that purchases can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.
  • We reserve the right to change these Trading Terms from time to time without prior notice by changing them on the Site, provided that any such change will not affect any purchases you have made before the change is implemented.

WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)

UK households dispose of over 1.2 million tonnes of electrical and electronic waste every year. This is the equivalent of 150,000 double-decker busses, and would be enough to fill the new Wembley stadium 6 times over.

With effect from July 2007, the UK's WEEE Regulations requires that all producers of electrical equipment are required to pay for these items to be recycled when they become waste. In order to meet our obligations we contribute towards a fund, the Distributor Take Back Scheme (DTS), which will help develop a new UK recycling network for waste electrical products.

To remind consumers to recycle, all of our electrical products are marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol, and should be taken to a recycling centre able to accept waste electrical products.

What information we collect and what we do with it

When you shop with ReadyBed, there are different ways we collect information about you:

When you register with us, we ask for information like your name, e-mail address, delivery address and contact details.

We keep a record of your purchases with us, so we can send you any offers that may specifically interest you. It also means we can help clear up any problems if your order doesn't run smoothly.

We keep a record of emails and letters in order to improve our products. We like to make sure that we can consider your ideas and suggestions properly. We also record and, sometimes, play back incoming calls. This helps us to continually improve our customer service and helps us when we're training new ReadyBed staff.

How We Use Your Personal Data

All the information we collect from you is used to improve our customer care. We also promise that we will only use your personal information for the following things:

  • Dealing with orders and accounts to supply you with our goods and services.
  • Planning and managing ReadyBed business activities, including analysing customers' shopping habits and preferences.
  • Letting you know about offers from ReadyBed and Worlds Apart, but only with your permission.

What we won't do

We will never pass on your email address to a 3rd party for marketing purposes.

We do not keep your credit card details on this site - our payment system uses the HSBC secure payment interface.

We will not send you any emails or other communication without your permission.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that web sites can send to your computer. You could think of it as your internet I.D card, which tells our website when you come back. Cookies are not computer programs, and can't read other information saved on your hard drive. They can't be used to disseminate viruses, or get a user's e-mail address etc. The only information they tell the website, is the information you've already given to us.

Cookies make your website experience faster and easier. Our website uses cookies to help you move around the site and to remember what you've put in your basket, so you don't have to keep logging in.

The European Union Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications which came into force on 31st July 2002, shows that cookies are a useful tool for many activities, including checking the identity of web site users.
